B School is a certified and recognized Cambridge Exam Preparation Centre — a key reference point in Parma for anyone seeking thorough preparation for obtaining a Cambridge English language certification.

Each year, our teachers offer targeted courses to prepare students for the A2 Key (KET), B1 Preliminary (PET), B2 First (FCE), and C1 Advanced (CAE) exams, as well as Young Learners certifications: Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers, and A2 Flyers.

Our approach is communicative, practical, and engaging. Every course is structured to take the student from their verified starting level (assessed through a placement test) to the achievement of their goals, using effective teaching techniques, progress monitoring, and realistic mock tests.

Cambridge Assessment English offers a wide range of exams based on level, but also tailored to the age of the learner.

Our group courses for children and teens are designed to support students in learning English and, if desired, prepare them for the exam best suited to their age.

Adult courses, both group and individual, are typically General English courses — that is, without a specific exam focus, unless requested by the student. This is because exam preparation exercises are highly structured and aimed at achieving the best possible test results.

Designed for children aged 7 to 11, these exams are adapted not only to the level but also to the style and visuals of the tasks. They assess Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing skills.

• Pre-A1 Starters: Recommended for 7–8 year-olds who have studied English for at least two years.
• A1 Movers: Recommended for 9–10 year-olds with at least two years of English.
• A2 Flyers: Recommended for 11-year-olds with a strong level of English, above average for their age.

These are aimed at 12 to 18-year-olds, adapted in both content and topic to suit this age group. They assess Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing skills.

• A2 Key for Schools (formerly KET): Recommended for students in 1st–2nd year of middle school.
• B1 Preliminary for Schools (formerly PET): Recommended for 3rd year middle schoolers with a good level, or 1st–2nd year high school students.
• B2 First for Schools (formerly FCE): Recommended for 4th–5th year high school students.

Aimed at adult learners who need to prove their English proficiency for work or academic purposes.

• A2 Key (KET): Certifies a basic level of English.
• B1 Preliminary (PET): Confirms the ability to use English in everyday situations.
• B2 First (FCE): Demonstrates the language skills necessary to study or work in English-speaking environments.
• C1 Advanced (CAE): A high-level qualification proving the English skills required by employers and universities.
• C2 Proficiency (CPE): The highest Cambridge qualification, demonstrating full mastery of the language.

IELTS assesses a person’s ability to use and understand English, and is the most widely recognized English qualification in the world — accepted by educational institutions, employers, and immigration authorities.

Anyone can take the IELTS exam, as scores range from 1 to 9, indicating level. Institutions typically require a score of 7 or higher.

We are based in Parma with two locations:

• Our school at Via Rapallo 9, with two fully equipped and welcoming classrooms, plus an English-language library.
• A fully equipped classroom at our offices in Via Repubblica 58.
