The course syllabus

The B2 level course program allows students to develop the language skills necessary for living, working, or studying in an English-speaking country.

Specifically, students will be able to:

  • Communicate effectively face-to-face, expressing their opinions;
  • Read and stay updated on current news;
  • Write clearly and in detail in English, explaining the advantages and disadvantages of different viewpoints;
  • Write letters, reports, stories, and many other types of texts.

The lessons are structured to be engaging, utilizing communicative activities and structured exercises that are functional for using the language in specific contexts. Students’ progress will be monitored through ongoing exercises.

During the course, the following skills will be developed:

  • Reading: The ability to read and understand complex and lengthy texts, such as newspaper articles, reports, and essays, with attention to specific details, inferences, and implicit meanings.
  • Listening: The ability to understand main ideas and specific details in longer and more complex conversations, such as discussions, lectures, and radio or television programs on both concrete and abstract topics.
  • Writing: The ability to write clear and well-structured texts, such as essays, reports, and formal letters, with appropriate use of arguments, logical connections, and a variety of grammatical and lexical structures.
  • Speaking: The ability to participate fluently and spontaneously in conversations on a wide range of topics, expressing detailed opinions, reasoning, and discussing complex themes clearly and accurately.
